Museum society
The Stillfried Museum Society was founded in 1914 and since then has been trying to support any archaeological work carried out in the Stillfried region. Apart from this support work the society has succeeded in building up a permanent exhibition of important finds from the Stillfried area, reaching from the Palaeolithic to the late middle ages.
The museum collection has been frequently rearranged and modernized. Temporary exhibitions dealing with special aspects of archaeological work in Stillfried attract visitors already familiar with the museum itself.
